Getting a Leg Up

So, I've started working on the chair and like a said in my last post I decided that I needed to paint the legs first so I wouldn't get paint on the new fabric.

I started with a primer paint and then sprayed it with the color which for me I'm going with a glossy black finish. This went pretty fast until I noticed that it had some dents and cracks in the wood. So I went and got some wood filler and filled in what I saw. It said to use a spatula knife but I just used my finger. Then I sanded it down with medium gain sandpaper. I went back and sprayed the legs with the primer again to see if I missed any or I got too much of the wood filler on the legs. I had to go back a few times to fix everything but I think I got all the holes. I'll check again friday when theres sun.

Anyways heres the best part... PICTURES!!!

wood filler. primer. final color

filling in the dents

painted the legs again with the primer

fixing more dents

final coat (hopefully)
Next post I will start putting on the fabric on the part under the cushion. or the deck.

QUESTION?! Do you think I should get new legs for this? I know I already painted the original ones but I was thinking of getting some new ones....Thoughts?
